Bentonville Hotel Robbed

Police are searching for a man in connection with a Saturday morning armed robbery at a Bentonville hotel.

The Clarion Hotel, at 211 S.E. Walton Blvd., was robbed at 3:36 a.m. by a man described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds. The man was also armed with a revolver, according to the Bentonville Police Department.

The man told a clerk that "this will all take five minutes, turn around and put your face on the ground," according to the police call report.

The man then told the clerk to turn around and walk to the back of the room. The man tied the clerk's hands as well as those of another clerk. The man then attempted to steal video tapes, according to the call reports.

An undetermined amount of money from the front register and adjacent offices was reported stolen, according to the new release from police.

The man was last scene wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, jeans and a black mask covering his face , according to the news release.

The robbery is under investigation.
